Owl Obsession Part II: Patchwork Owls (October 2011)

This owl project was devised for my older group (aged 4 – 6), and was inspired by two patchwork fabric owls which usually live in my baby daughter’s nursery. I gave the children circle, oval and triangle templates to draw around and cut out the shapes from contrasting wrapping papers. Once assembled, they finished off their collages by drawing silver stars and moons.
